02 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

05 - 2 shots (2 fl oz) freshly brewed espresso
06 - 10 fl oz whole milk or oat milk
07 - 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
# Directions:
01 - Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add sliced onion, sugar, and salt. Cook slowly, stirring occasionally, until deeply caramelized and golden, about 12 to 15 minutes.
02 - Transfer caramelized onions and pan juices to a blender. Add 2 tablespoons milk, blend until smooth, then strain through a fine-mesh sieve for a silky texture.
03 - Brew 2 shots of espresso and divide evenly between two cups.
