02 - 1/4 cup hot water (approximately 175°F / 80°C)

03 - 2 cups milk of choice (dairy, oat, almond, or soy)
04 - 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey, adjusted to taste
→ Peppermint Flavor
05 - 1/4 teaspoon pure peppermint extract

06 - Whipped cream, dairy or plant-based
07 - Crushed peppermint candies or sprinkles
# Directions:
01 - Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl to remove lumps.
02 - Add hot water to the sifted matcha and whisk with a bamboo whisk or milk frother until smooth and frothy.
03 - Heat milk over medium-low heat in a small saucepan until steaming but not boiling; stir in maple syrup or honey and peppermint extract.
04 - Froth the heated milk using a frother or whisk vigorously until foam forms.
05 - Divide the matcha mixture between two mugs and pour hot, frothed peppermint milk over it.
06 - Top with whipped cream and crushed peppermint candies if desired; serve immediately.
